Can Dyslexia be Detected Early?
Researchers say the procedure shows shrinkage in the brain which can detect the disorder.
Parents, you can now know if your child has dyslexia before they even start to read.
Through brain scans of pre-school children, doctors can diagnose the disorder early and allow intervention.
Researchers have found that some school-entry children they studied had shrinkage in the arcuate fasciculus part of the brain, which processes word sounds and language.
Those children with a smaller arcuate fasciculus scored lower on pre-reading tests.
This medical breakthrough can lead to finding a cause of dyslexia.
