Don’t expect a quick fix if you’re having trouble falling asleep. It takes time! According to clinical psychologist, gaining a healthy sleeping pattern through exercise takes time, it doesn’t happen overnight.
There is a common misconception that exercise helps you fall asleep that same night. This is just a bit skewed. Insomniacs must maintain that routine for months in order for it to work. Sometimes even up to four months.
It can be discouraging to maintain your workout routine for so long just to be able to get a good night’s rest, but it will benefit you in the long run!
