Can Soda Make Your Child Violent?
The answer may surprise you.
Parents know that giving their children soda can increase their risk of childhood obesity, but now there is a new reason to keep sodas away from kids.
A new study says soda could make children more violent
Public health researchers found that the more sugary soft drinks kids consumed, the more likely they are to cause damage and hurt others.
Kids who drank four or more soft drinks per day were twice as likely to destroy things belonging to others, get into fights and physically attack people.
Researchers said the aggressive behavior is the result of soda’s ingredients such as caffeine which makes people impulsive.
Even after ruling out other factors that could lead to violent behavior such as family income and whether they grew up in a violent home, the link between soda and violent behavior is evident.
