Decompress With Booze
The confirmation we've all been waiting for... alcohol is a legitament stress-reliever.
When consumed in limited amounts, alcohol serves as a stress reliever. However, if too much is at hand, it makes stress worse, so one must be cautious when taking this route of stress reduction.
Technically speaking, alcohol reduces the body's hardwiring for physiological stress response, hence the term, "liquid courage."
While it make relax your mind, it has a reverse effect on the body-- working overtime to metabolize alcohol versus other, non-booze beverages and foods. Stressing the body out isn't all that great, either, and shouldn't be a regular occurrence if you value your liver.
Regardless, drinking moderately is beneficial for some who can handle it. While it can work wonders for one participant, the reaction of another can be the total opposite.
Keep it to two drinks for stress relief, and you'll be on your way to a happy buzz without the bad aftermath.
Do you feel that alcohol eases your stress level or maximizes it?
