In Denial About the Possibility of Breast Cancer?
Accepting possibility of risk may lead to prevention.
Despite the staggering statistics that show the great risk of breast cancer, about 20 percent of women deny they could be at risk of the disease, according to a study.
Come on, ladies. Let’s be real here. Though it's a sad and harsh reality, it’s important to accept the possibility of risk in order to prevent a future health condition from forming.
This year alone, a trajectory statistic says over 34,000 Americans will be diagnosed with breast cancer, according to the American Cancer Society.
Among the African-American community, the disease is killing many Black women mainly because they are getting diagnosed too late.
