Eating Disorders: Not Just For Women Anymore
Bringing awareness to the struggle that men have about their body image will further propel us forward.
Eating disorders have been a commonality amongst women, but as of late more and more men seem to be coming forward about having their own struggle with eating disorders.
As did Brian Cuban, recently discussing his own struggle with his eating disorder. "The sad part is that the stigma and shame that once prevented me from seeking help in 1980 have not improved much over the last few decades." Breaking down the stereotypes attached to body image issues being solely attached, educating your children, and having more males come forward are just some of the ways Cuban suggests making this change.
It is important to know that we all have insecurities and bullying or making fun of one another can be heartbreaking in ways we may never be able to fathom.
Take the steps you need to in order to live a happy, healthy life!
