Is Obamacare Good for Latinos?
The Affordable Care Act is affecting different people in different ways, and for individuals of Latino youth, it has been great.
All set to go into effect as of 2014, the Affordable Care Act will assist Americans without health insurance in seeking coverage for $100 or less per month.
Not only that, but the Act also provides additional incentive to individuals and families in minority communities, having considered the inequality of prior access to healthcare.
Almost 10.2 million Latinos will be presented with new a healthcare opportunity, which results in young Latinos between the ages of 19 and 25 who would otherwise be uninsured, now able to access coverage under their parents' healthcare plan until they are 26 years old.
Obamacare will also provide young Latinos with access to preventative car and health education that includes but is not limited to flu shots and birth control.
How does this new healthcare sound for the future of young Latinos?
