Why Cocaine is bad for you
Did you know it alters your brain after one use?
A recent study shows that even if you just use it one time, you could be setting yourself up for long-term problems.
Researchers used mice (of course) to test how their brains handled decision-making and memory after cocaine use. They found that after the mice had cocaine in their bodies, their dendritic spines grew and rewired their brains to seek more cocaine.
No wonder cocaine users find it hard to stop craving the white lines.
But there is a silver lining!
The researchers also say that the brain can return to normal after cocaine use. The brain has the amazing ability to rewire itself, and can allow for regular decision-making to take place.
Have you ever made bad decision because you were on drugs?
