Why You Should Sleep More
Turns out not getting enough sleep is ruining your body.
You know the drill....
The alarm goes off, you snooze it a couple of times, roll out of bed, and off you go to work or school dead tired and unable to think straight. It's a well-known cycle that never seems to end!
If you feel like death, it's probably because you're killing your body.
A new study in the Journal Sleep from the Stockholm University of Sweden says that sleep deprivation is basically making you sad, ugly and angry. For the study, 10 people had their picture taken after 8 hours of sleep, then again after 31 hours of no sleep.
Obviously the sleep deprivation picture showed under eye circles, pale skin, and droopy corners of the mouth. Study participants also looked sad, because they were rediculously tired.
Other studies have proved that no sleep contributes to mood swings, poor decision making, and a host of other problems.
