Basketball Wives' Jennifer Talks On-Camera Slap: "I've Never Been Hit Before"
She has yet to throw a punch back
On last night's episode of Basketball Wives, we saw former best friends Evelyn Lozada and Jennifer Williams finally come to blows after a month's long build-up of tension.
Rarely in the same room at the same time, the two ladies finally came face-to-face, but it was Evelyn's assistant Nia (who also has a beef with Jen) that threw the first punch (or slap).
Many viewers were surprised at Jen's lack of retaliation, but she's not ashamed. She spoke to fellow friend to VH1, Mashonda, formerly of Love & Hip-Hop, to talk about why she won't engage in the violence the show has become so famous for.

"I do not wish that I physically retaliated. I am a businesswoman and an entrepreneur and I don’t want to represent myself as a fighter on TV. When I got hit, my mother was the first person that popped in my head. She was very disappointed this whole situation took place. I was not raised as a fighter or to participate in violence."
"I honestly could not watch this episode; I have never been hit before. It particularly saddens me to know people condone this type of behavior and glorify violence. My advice to young people that watched last night’s episode is please do not think violence is the answer.
"Just because I did not fight back physically doesn’t mean I am not fighting back. I am doing this the right way and fighting back using our justice system. Sandy Rubenstein is my civil attorney in NYC and Sabrina Puglisi is my criminal attorney in Florida. The National Action Network has been a tremendous help in assisting me with this issue."
This should come as no surprise to fans of the show who saw Jen react similarly when her ex-husband threw a drink in her face at dinner.
Did you think Jen looked poised or like a punk?
