A report due on Thursday based on a large study of 2 million people suggests a steady decline in the morale of federal employees. Job satisfaction is at its lowest in 10 years, and with salaries being frozen, that comes as no real surprise. At the Department of Homeland security, only 52.9 percent of the employees are satisfied. Workers at battered private companies were "happier" than government employees who usually harp on the benefits of job security. The seventh annual “Best Places to Work in the Federal Government” makes a case for President Obama to work harder in his push to make government a better place to work on his second run.
