2012 Olympic Basketball "Dream Team" Roster Revealed
1 year ago
Kobe, Miami's Big 3 and Derrick Rose make the squad
While it may be too early to call them Dream Team 2012, the newest incarnation of the U.S. Men's Olympic Basketball team is nothing to sleep on.
On Tuesday, USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo finally settled on the 19 American-born names he selected to take to the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
The roster reportedly includes LaMarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Chris Bosh, Kobe Bryant, Tyson Chandler, Kevin Durant, Eric Gordon, Blake Griffin, Dwight Howard, Andre Iguodala, LeBron James, Kevin Love, Lamar Odom, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, Dwyane Wade, Russell Westbrook and Deron Williams.
Of course, there can only be 12 guys on a basketball team, so expect for this list to be trimmed by mid-June. Any players that injure themselves or become unavailable would be replaced by another player on the roster that didn't make the on-court squad.
What do you think of the list? Anyone you would add or leave off?
