3.7 Million Job Openings In July No Different From June
8 months ago
Employment was actually stagnant this summer.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics latest Economic News release is saying that the only thing that went up this summer was the temperature.
The same number of jobs that were open at the end of June, were still there at the end of July says the report. Meaning that some companies may have lied to you when they said they didn't have any openings.
On the flipside of that, the layoff total remained unchanged, meaning that no one lost a job either.
And of course, the number of people who quit their jobs (in this economy?) also went unchanged.
Standing still is better than going backward, we guess.
