9/11 Memorial Defaced with "Allah" Graffiti

Security cameras of no help

The words "Allah Wakbar" were graffitied on a seat at the 9/11 Memorial on Tuesday and now the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the message, according to NBC.

A private custodian cleaning the area found the scrawl, written in pink and black marker, on a seat in the plaza area between the north and south pools, an area not in the view of any security cameras.

After cops were called, the words were removed by a power washer.

The graffiti comes a week after Brooklyn junior high school students were evicted after trashing the fountains.
