Are You Condoning Hipster Racism?

JEZEBEL lists the traits of a Hipster Racist

Some of us actually believe that we are living in a "post-racial" society. So much that some of us think it's cool to just say whatever comes to mind because hey, "you didn't mean it like that."

Well, the kind folks over at Jezebel are calling bullshit and have listed a number of traits, phrases and ideals that today's racist has but may not realize. Well, they realize, they just think it's ok.

The piece titled "A Complete Guide to ‘Hipster Racism’" goes in on the modern-day racist who has turned in their white hoods for Ray-Bans.

The story says Hipster Racists have four or five clear giveaways.

One, they absolutely love mocking "black culture." They think it's adorable when they do it.

The also love "Recreational Slumming" or you know, going to the hood club and the going back home to talk about it amongst their friends with quotes like "It's soooooo ghetto, but I actually totally like it!"

The article also says that Hipster Racists want soooo badly to use the N-word. So bad that whenever they get the chance to, they do, especially in the media. Because you know, it's being said in context, not hate.

Jezebel also says Hipster Racists tell one too many jokes about black people in poor taste. You know, stuff like "nappy headed hoes" and Whitney Houston "crack hoe" references. They also say that Hipster Racists believe racism is over because Obama is president.
