Blacks are the most obese in America says study

For today's "Black Folks Lost" stat, we bring you a new study that says that Black Americans have the worst "Well Being" index of all races living in the United States.

The study, powered by Gallup, looked at the income, age, location and race of individuals to determine what demographics had the best well being in the country. According to calculations, older men living on the west coast who make over $70k a year are living the best lives, go figure.

But in the numbers lie an alarming fact. Black Americans were found to be the least well off. One big reason was because of poor health.

Out of all of the adults surveyed,  35.6% of Black America is obese. High blood pressure, diabetes and asthma was also higher than most among Black Americans.

On the bright side (maybe?), not that many of us are dying from heart attacks and cancer when compared to other races.

Other findings determined that Springfield, Ohio is perhaps the unhealthiest city in America as they appeared on just about every chart for bad health and were nowhere to be found for the stats concerning good health. Here's a snapshot for you, Springfield registered as the city least likely to exercise, least likely to be happy, most likely to have asthma and most likely to smoke.

On the opposite end of the spectrum you have Boulder, Colorado where people were most likely to exercise, least likely to be obese or have high blood pressure or diabetes.

The black population in Boulder is a whopping 1.2%.
