Blacks, Hispanics Majority Consider Themselves Both "Pro-Life" & "Pro-Choice"

How is that possible?

The majority of African-Americans believe that abortion is morally wrong, but still think it should be available legally, according to a survey of Blacks and Hispanics. Conducted by the Public Religion Research Institute, the findings also reveal that Hispanics, comparatively, had a closer correlation between their views. While 52 percent of black Americans found abortion to be morally wrong but still thought it should be legal, only 25 percent of Hispanics felt the same. More baffling, 71 percent of Blacks said that “pro-life” describes them well, but 75 percent said the same of the phrase “pro-choice.” (The results from Hispanics provided the same confusion, as 77 percent preferred "pro-life," while 72 percent opted for "pro-choice.") The seemingly strong contradiction ultimately revealed that the issue of abortion is more than just "for" or "against," as many women could be opposed to it for themselves, but would rather not restrict another's right.
