Man Pours Bleach Into Nieces' Cereal, Faces 2nd Degree Assault

Syracuse, New York authorities have arrested a man after he poured bleach in the milk of his niece and nephew, according to CNY Central.

The niece and nephew, ages 1 and 3, drank the milk Thursday morning and got sick, suffering vomiting and diarrhea. They were treated at a hospital and released.

Police arrested 20-year-old Aaron Hickman in the crime. Hickman was living with his brother but got into an argument Wednesday night and was told to leave. In a twisted act of apparent revenge, he attempted to kill his brother's children with the bleach.

On Friday, the young boys' mother, Shamara Hale spoke saying she couldn't believe what happened.

"This is the worst experience ever because my kids could have died," says Hale. "I would've had to plan two funerals."

He is charged with second degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Hickman was arraigned today in Syracuse City Court.
