The superstar small forward spoke directly to fans before the game
Carmelo Anthony took the microphone at Madison Square Garden last night to address Knicks fans who had braved the destruction of Hurricane Sandy to watch the team play.
Despite the advice of many, including the Heat's Dwyane Wade, who believed that the league should cancel the game, the Knicks took on the Heat last night in their first game of the season. In an emotional appeal, the Knickerbockers' small forward thanked the fans for coming out to support the team and the city of New York.
