Central Park Rape Suspect Arrested

The man suspected of raping a 73-year-old woman in Central Park earlier this week was arraigned Friday. David Albert Mitchell, 42, allegedly attacked the elderly birdwatcher Wednesday morning in what could have been a vengeful act; she reportedly caught him masturbating about a week ago in another, more isolated part of the park. Mitchell spit at reporters as he walked past them when leaving the special victims unit. He then denied the allegation when he arrived at a court in lower Manhattan. He is currently being held without bail. (NBC)
