Party's 2012 platform wants education system to dumb it down.

Just when you think the Republican party of Texas has run out of ways to make you say "WTF?" they come up with a way to make you say "GTFOH."

According to their 2012 Platform (as reported by the Washington Post), the Grand Ole Party of Texas wants to eliminate "critical thinking" from the school system.

What does "critical thinking" entail? Early childhood education, sex education, and multicultural education.

Why do they want it gone? Well, according to them, allowing children to develop "critical thinking" skills undermines what their parents are teaching them at home and good ole Christian values.

But, the platform states that they are very much in favor of corporal punishment in the schools.

"We recommend that local school boards and classroom teachers be given more authority to deal with disciplinary problems," reads one section. "Corporal punishment is effective and legal in Texas."
