Drunk Flight Attendant's Rant Causes Panic: "This is Probably My Last Flight"

Was not arrested, couldn't be reached for comment

A (suspected intoxicated) flight attendant put passengers into a panic on Monday after challenging them to get off a delayed flight "if they have the balls" to do so, according to the NY Post.

The travelers were furious about a five-hour flight delay at New York's LaGuardia airport.

Though the plane to Raleigh-Durham Airport was originally scheduled to leave at 1:25 p.m., passengers were not even allowed to board until 4 p.m. due to rain.

Once on the plane, the aircraft got stuck behind 20 other planes lined up on the runway for another 40 minutes.

That's when the pilot discovered he needed to turn around and refuel, forcing passengers to get off at the gate.

They were allowed to re-board at 6 p.m., but even then the plane did not take off.

That’s when the American Eagle flight attendant Jose Serrano began confronting angry passengers, making them anxious, according to witnesses.

Serrano shouted over the intercom: “If anyone has the balls to want to get off, I’ll let you get off! Get off! I’m not responsible for the weather! I don’t care anymore. This is probably my last flight," causing people to panic. Several passengers refused to take off with Serrano on board — and at least three families left the plane with their kids. Several of them told The Post they had smelled alcohol on his breath.

No arrests were made. The flight finally was canceled after 8 p.m. when passengers were sent back to hotels without any refunds.
