Sports network says comments were 'inappropriate.'

Rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III has made headlines all season because of his electrifying play on the field for the Washington Redskins. But this week it's his black skin that has been in the media.

Earlier this week RGIII let it be known that he didn't want to be identified as a "black quarterback," saying that he didn't want his race to define him and that the term carried a negative stereotype.

Now, ESPN analyst Rob Parker has something to say about RGIII's perceived blackness.

"Is he a brother, or is he a cornball brother?" Parker asked ESPN's First Take. "Well, [that] he's black, he kind of does his thing, but he's not really down with the cause, he's not one of us. He's kind of black, but he's not really the guy you'd really want to hang out with, because he's off to do something else."

Do you get what he was trying to say? Or do you think Parker sounds silly?
