Report Says Everybody is Watching Internet Porn, A Lot

Popular porn sites have almost as much traffic as Google and Facebook

4.4billion page views per month. That's how many views pornography site Xvideos.com gets. How many of those clicks were yours?

According to a report by ExtremeTech.com, Xvideos dwarfs sites like ESPN and CNN and rank as high as the Googles, Facebooks and YouTubes of the world. They aren't the only one though. The report says that at least 12 other adult sites are ranked among the top 500.

Actual clicks aren't the only factor that makes the sites to popular. For the average news site, the average visit lasts around six minutes. But on porn sites, people spend at least 15 to 20 minutes viewing before they log off. Researchers say this is because most sites are text based while porn sites are usually video driven. We say, you really know why that's the case.

Researchers also found out that 30% of all web traffic is pornography. Meaning that while the remaining 70% is spent doing everything from reading the news, working, blogging, downloading music, doing homework, talking with friend, it is likely that people spend most of their time on the web looking at freak nasty material.

Just how much porn are people looking at on a daily basis? YouPorn.com, the second largest porn site behind Xvideos, volunteered some of their stats to the study. During peak times, they serve 4000 pages per second, which is equivalent to transferring more than 10 dual-layer DVDs every second.

People really want their porn. Good luck to Rick Santorum on banning it. Also, don't forget, if you are against banning internet porn, be sure to participate in National Wank Out Day on May 1.
