Feedback could affect the way changes are implemented

Facebook is calling for its users to vote on whether or not they should continue to be allowed to well, vote, on the social network's ever-changing policies. Unless 30 percent of the site's 1 billion-plus users cast their vote, they will lose the right to have a say on policies like having their data shared with the site's subsidiary Instagram, or loosening restrictions on who can message them on Facebook. Elliot Schrage, Facebook's vice president of communications, public policy and marketing, said, "This feedback allows us to respond to your questions and make substantive changes to our proposals before they are implemented." Voting started Monday and lasts seven days. Get your voice out here. (LA Times)
