Group ran a sex trafficking and prostitution ring across for Southern states
Prosecutors on Thursday charged 12 people with running a sex trafficking and prostitution ring across four Southern states. Authorities say the suspects lured female immigrants to the United States and threatened them with deportation unless they became call girls. The sex ring operation spanned Georgia, Florida and North and South Carolina, said U.S. attorney Edward J, Tarver. Federal agents on Wednesday rescued 11 women who were part of the prostitution ring.
