Neighbors Turn Away Kids When Mom Goes on Fatal Shooting Rampage

A Florida mom killed her 4 kids before shooting herself to death early Tuesday morning.

And though the original report notes that next door neighbors tried to stop the children from returning to the dangerous house after they'd initially come knocking for help, a released 911 call tells a different story.

When Tonya Thomas' (see right) kids came to their neighbors' house -- one bleeding and wrapped in a towel, another bleeding while motionless & sprawled out on the lawn -- the neighbors refused to take them in, according to the Daily Mail.

On the 911 call, the wife can be heard telling Thomas' injured kids: "Get back, you're not coming in our house."

The caller's husband then grabs the phone and told the dispatcher, "They tried to break in our front door to get in, I guess to try and get away from her - whoever's got the gun."

It appears that the couple kept the kids at bay until the they returned home, when the couple heard 6 more gunshots while still on the phone with 911. All the children were later reported dead.
