Who made the cut?
Forbes has released its 2013 list of the World's Billionaires and the data shows that more women are joining the ranks of the world’s wealthiest. Still, they only hold a small portion of the power as, of the 1,426 people on the list, just 138 are women -- that's up from 104 last year. The world's wealthiest woman, with a fortune of $30 million, is Liliane Bettencourt, the 90-year-old heiress to a 30-percent stake in L’Oreal. The second and third richest women are Christy and Alice Walton, the respective widow and daughter of brothers John and Sam Walton, founders of Wal-Mart. New women billionaires include fashion designer Tory Burch (seen above). (Forbes)
