Zimmerman's lawyer tries to restructure ways to collect defense funds.
George Zimmerman's lawyer Mark O'Mara has pulled down his client's fundraising website and is working to pull down others which are fakes.
The website, TheRealGeorgeZimmerman.Com, has gone dark for a while now as his lawyer tries to restructure ways for supporters to contribute to his defense fund.
Zimmerman, who has been at the center of the nation's most talked about news story for the last month, killed 17-year-old unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin in a case that has divided the country along racial lines.
The website was launched April 10th and used a Paypal account to collect money for his defense against second-degree murder charges. It contained pro-Zimmerman photos and inspirational quotes.
O'Mara spoke with Fox News and said he's also looking into pulling down some fake Twitter accounts claiming to be run by Zimmerman.
"I'm trying to scrub through all of them and take action to have them taken down," O'Mara said.
"We are currently going through the Division of Consumer Service for an authorized fund. We will likely put up another website for donations, but it will be done so through my office."
