Mentally ill homeless man heard pleading on tape.
A tape showing two cops beating a mentally ill homeless man to death was released during a preliminary hearing this past weekend, according to CNN.
The beating death of Kelly Thomas has prompted the FBI to investigate if the man's civil rights were violated.
Manuel Ramos and Jay Cicinelli, two Fullerton, California cops, have been charged with involuntary manslaughter and felony use of excessive force.
Both cops have plead not guilty despite the video showing incriminating evidence against them.
In the video, cops are shown giving Thomas a warning to get on the ground. A few seconds later, officers began pummeling Thomas who was heard saying, " OK, I'm sorry dude, I'm sorry!"
