Perfect Income for Happiness is $161,000, Study Shows

People need more to feel "wealthy," however

A new study found that the average income one needs to be happy is around $161,000. The Skandia International’s Wealth Sentiment Monitor surveyed 13 countries and discovered that there was a wide range of answers depending on the place. Germans only need $85,781 to be happy, while Dubai residents preferred $276,150. Feeling happy and feeling "wealthy," however, are two different things. Globally, the average amount needed to feel "wealthy" is $1.8 million. Americans alone say they need $1 million or more to feel wealthy. (Today)
