Indian Bus Driver Kills Nine During Rampage

Man charged with murder after striking pedestrians

A 30-year old Indian man is being held on murder charges after he drove a bus through a crowd of pedestrians, killing nine, in a rampage in Pune on Wednesday.

Police officers attempted to shoot the man and the bus to slow it down before finally arresting him.

Witnesses say that the driver started off with his routine route, but then jumped into another bus and went "berserk."

During the rampage he ran over people, rammed into parked cars and demolished food stalls

Officials do not think it was an act of terrorism.
