Private investigator from Texas says OJ covered for his son

A new book titled "OJ Is Innocent I Can Prove It" falls back on a previous theory that OJ Simpson's son, Jason, was the one who killed Nicole Browne Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

The book, written by private investigator William C. Dear from Texas who made the claim before, said OJ took the fall on trial to deflect attention from his son who was the true killer.

Dear says that while Simpson was at the crime scene, he didn't get there until after the murders were committed. Additionally, Dear says he found evidence that links Jason, who is now 41, to the crime.

He allegedly dug through Jason's garbage and storage locker and found the hunting knife that experts say was used in the murder. The weapon was never recovered during the police investigation. He also found photos of Jason Simpson wearing a similar knit cap as the one that was reportedly worn by OJ during the murders. The police didn't make any arrests in the case aside from OJ.

Dear produced a documentary film in 2010 detailing why he believes Jason was responsible for the murders.

According to Dear's publisher: "This book includes shocking photos and new evidence about the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Lyle Goldman, that was totally overlooked by the original investigators. Evidence that points directly to a surprising new suspect, very close to OJ."
