Rapper speaks out on Trayvon Martin and how to handle hate crimes
On Wednesday, MTV Rap Fix hosted a special episode surrounding the Trayvon Martin tragedy and invited four of Hip Hop's brighter minds to discuss the topic. Nas, Bun B, Prodigy of Mobb Deep and Killer Mike chimed in on the case giving advice on how to handle it and what they were doing about it.
During his portion of the interview Killer Mike spoke on the shooting calling George Zimmerman a terrorist and calling out Rev. Jesse Jackson for sounding misinformed on the case. He brought attention to Jackson calling for a ban on assault-rifles, when Trayvon was actually killed by a handgun. He also advises all African Americans who can legally carry a gun, to do so, to protect themselves against hate crimes. He also advised blacks to store months of food and water just in case shit hits the fan.
Mike has a history of voicing displeasure with black leadership and he stayed true to form here. Do you agree with him?
Check out the interview for yourself.
