Let’s Talk: How to Overcome a Quarter-Life Crisis
2 months ago
They are the Milllennials, Generation Y, the Echo Boomers, Boomerang Generation...and they are also having a quarter-life crisis.
In recent years, studies have shown that those who are currently in their 20s are dealing with uncertainty, panic, anxiety and stress more than any other generation.
According to Stress in America, a study done by the American Psychological Association, this generation has the highest average stress levels.
The study also shows that almost 40 percent of Millennials said their stress had increased last year and more than half said stress kept them awake at night during the last month.
These numbers cause concerns as stress can lead to health problems such as diabetes and hypertension.
Much of this stress is due to a poor job market which leaves recent college graduates with dreadful student debt and limited career prospects.
The good news is that the quarter-life crisis can be conquered. There are ways to stand out in the job market, find out if your romantic partner is worth keeping and tools available to make the best of your life right now.
