NBC Reporter Fired Over Botched George Zimmerman Tape

Lilia Luciano joins long list of employees fired over misleading edit of tape.
The heads continue to roll at NBC over the botched editing of George Zimmerman's 911 tape.
Reporter Lilia Luciano, who is based out of Miami, is no longer with the network. She was one of the chief reporters covering the case of the murdered 17-year-old unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin. Two of her reports on the case have been removed from the NBC "Today" show website. Another Florida journalist was let go as well late last month regarding the tape.
Luciano became the third person let go by the station after it aired misleading clips of Zimmerman's tape.
In the edited tape, viewers heard Zimmerman say that Martin "looks black," but did not hear the dispatcher he was speaking to ask him what race Martin was.
NBC apologized for the error and fired a producer for the "Today" show.
Luciano joined NBC from Univision 18 months ago. Her last day on the job was March 31.
