Macy's Hiring 80,000 Workers for Holiday Season

Macy's is planning to hire nearly 80,000 seasonal workers for the holidays, a 2.5 percent increase from last year. The employees will not only be used to staff up Macy's and Bloomingdale's stores, but also its call centers, distribution centers and online fulfillment centers. Many of the positions will be part-time, and hiring for sales positions for the holiday season will begin in mid-October. This year, Macy's outperformed rivals like Kohl's and J.C.
