Racist group says they are prepared for post Trayvon Martin violence
The Neo-Nazis have touched down on Sanford, Florida and are conducting heavily armed patrols in the area where Trayvon Martin was killed.
The 17-year-old African American teenager, who was killed on February 26th by George Zimmerman, was unarmed when he was shot dead. The murder has sparked national outrage and a mass of protests calling for the arrest of Zimmerman.
But what this murder has also done — according to recent polls — is divide the nation across racial lines when it pertains to their opinion on the case.
The Neo-Nazis claim they are patrolling the area in case of a "race war" or any "post Trayvon Martin violence."
"The patrols are to protect white citizens in the area who are concerned for their safety in the wake of the Trayvon Martin shooting last month," says Commander Jeff Schoep of the National Socialist Movement. "We are not advocating any type of violence or attacks on anybody, but we are prepared for it. We are not the type of white people who are going to be walked all over."
While many question if the armed patrols are legal in Florida, Schoep claims they are pointing to similar patrols in Arizona.

"In Arizona the guys can walk around with assault weapons and that's totally legal," Schoep said, referring to the group's patrols of the US-Mexico border. "What I can tell you is that any patrols that we are doing now in Florida are totally within the law."
The patrols comprise of 10 to 20 individuals.
Early last month, the new Black Panther Party touched down on Florida and announced a $10,000 bounty for George Zimmerman.
