NYPD Is Hiding GPS Chips In Pill Bottles

Police want to track down stolen drugs

The NYPD has unveiled a plan that they hope will thwart the theft of painkillers and other addictive medicines.

They will start placing GPS chips inside of "bait bottles" that they hope will lead them to the drug thieves.

"In the event of a robbery or theft, we'll be able to track the bottle, which may lead us to stash locations across the city," says NYPD commissioner Raymond Kelly.
