NYPD Sgt. Caught Drinking While Driving

The off-duty cop refused to cooperate with police

In today's edition of "The NYPD Breaks The Law Too," 38-year old Sgt. Kwando Karikari-Awere has been arrested and suspended under suspicion of drinking while driving.

Well, there really isn't much to suspect, while off-duty, he drove into a parked car. If there was ever an indication of drunk driver, running into a parked car would be it.

The incident happened on the intersection of Morris Ave. and E. 150th St. in the Bronx, no one was injured.

Karikari-Awere, who joined the Police Department in 1998, is also being charged with refusing to take a breath test.
