Man pulled out gun after being asked for ID.
The NYC Subway system just took another L.
Two plain clothes officers spotted a man walking from car to car on a Manhattan-bound N-train. As frequently as that happens, it's still against the law.
So when the plain clothes officers approached the man asking him for ID, he pulled out a gun and started shooting.
Officer Michael Levay was hit in the back of his protective vest. Officer Lukasz Kozicki both of his upper thighs and in the groin.
The shooter was killed. One other passenger was grazed by a bullet.
