From 2002 to 2012, the number of Americans with bachelor's degrees grew by 25 percent (to 41 million); with associate's degrees by 31 percent, and with master's or doctorate degrees by 43-45 percent. In 2010, there were nearly 42 million college graduates, but only 29 million available jobs.
