Half of women who struggle financially say a 9 to 5 is ideal
According to survey results released by the Pew Research Center on Thursday, nearly one in three American moms last year said they would prefer a full-time job, up from one in five moms in 2007. Lead researcher Kim Parker said the 2007-2009 recession was a likely factor in that increase. Pew surveyed 2,511 adults nationwide in late 2012. About half of women who were struggling financially said working full time was ideal, compared with about 31 percent of those who said they lived comfortably. What say you? Are you ready to toss the kids to daycare and climb the corporate ladder? (Reuters)
