Social network says it will do 'whatever it takes' to shut porn site down for stealing content
Have you been to IsAnyoneUp.com? The folks at Facebook have and they don't like what they see.
The porn site is built around unwillingly posted Facebook profiles. Mostly submitted by vengeful exes, the site features nude pics and sexts along with screenshots of the persons Facebook page.
"Your actions are illegal and must be stopped immediately," Joseph P. Cutler of the law firm Perkins Coie in a cease and desist order on the behalf of Facebook. "Facebook will take whatever measures it believes are necessary to enforce its rights, maintain the quality of the site, and protect its users."
In response to the legal threat, IsAnyoneUp.com's 25-year old founder Hunter Moore tells Gawker he pulled a Kanye West and "replied with a picture of my [genitals]."
"I'm not a virgin to cease and desists—I get about a million a day," he boasts. "I think [Facebook] is under pressure from users to do something about me… I don't give a f--k. I'm never going to stop."
Moore was recently confronted on Anderson Cooper's show by people who said their lives were ruined by his website.
He didn't "give a f--k" about them either.
