Russell Brand Files For Divorce From Katy Perry

Celebrity matchmaker Siggy Flicker told Wendy Williams the relationship between Katy Perry and Russell Brand wouldn’t last, and it seems she was right.

E! News confirmed Friday that the Arthur star has filed for divorce from his popstar wife.

Rumors of marriage troubles spiraled the web after Brand was spotted in London not wearing his wedding ring.

Brand issued a statement Friday saying, "sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."

Brand cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split in the divorce docs, filed in Los Angeles Friday.

He proposed to Perry in India on New Year's Eve 2009, nearly two years ago to the day.
