Check out who stepped out of their parent's shadow

Hip-hop mogul P. Diddy’s son Justin is not the only progeny of a celebrity to find success beyond the shadow of a famous parent. (Read about him here.) Check out our list of other kids of celebrities who have found their own celebrity in adulthood.

Joakim Noah: The son of tennis legend Yannick Noah has become a legend in the making on a different court. After helping to lead the University of Florida to two NCAA championship wins, he has since become a star player with the Chicago Bulls.

Linda Powell: While her father is best known for making history by becoming the first African-American Secretary of State in U.S. history, Powell is known for her diverse scope of work as an actress. She co-starred in the acclaimed Broadway revival of “On Golden Pond” with James Earl Jones and appears regularly on television programs like “The Good Wife” and “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.”

Ronan Farrow: The son of actress Mia Farrow, Ronan Farrow enrolled in Yale Law School after becoming the youngest graduate in the history of Bard College at age 15. Internationally lauded for his policy expertise and activism regarding the impact of war and genocide on young people in countries like Pakistan and the Sudan, Farrow is currently serving as Special Adviser for Global Youth Issues to Secretary of State Clinton. He was also recently awarded one of academia’s most prestigious honors: a Rhodes Scholarship. (Note: Farrow is the biological son of filmmaker Woody Allen but has severed all ties with him previously saying, “He’s my father married to my sister. That makes me his son and his brother-in-law. That is such a moral transgression…I cannot see him. I cannot have a relationship with my father and be morally consistent…”)
