Steve Harvey's Ex-Wife Says He Had Her Arrested
Comedian then serves her with lawsuit papers while behind bars.
Steve Harvey celebrates holidays in a special way. After hitting his ex-wife Mary with a gag order on Valentine's Day, she is now claiming that Steve had her arrested over Halloween weekend.
According to audio found at EURWEB, Mary says that she was headed into a drugstore with her son from another relationship, and that's when four police officers surrounded her.
“He’s got a movie coming out, he’s got this talk show he’s trying to do, so he’s just trying to squash me,” Mary says, “They took me to jail. I was there all day long,” said Mary. “Nobody knew where I was.
She continues, “Steve (ex-husband) wanted to serve me with a lawsuit when I walked out of that jail, and that’s what happened. Now, I have to show up in court on Nov. 11. He’s alleging that he is in fear that I’m going to show up at the radio station or at his house or that I’m going to show up at one of his comedy venues, you know? Now he’s going to get it to where there’s a restraining order against me."
The ordeal is the latest event in a long-running custody battle between Steve and Mary over their teenage son Wynton who currently lives with Steve. The two of them divorced in 2005.
Guess this makes the fact that Steve Harvey hosts "Family Feud" that more fitting.
