Student Accused of Selling Weed Brownies to Classmates
Student pulled in an estimated $250
An eighth grader at a Queens, New York public school has been accused of selling weed brownies to her classmates, officials say.
The female student at Intermediate School 208 sold the brownies for $3 or two for $5. At least 20 students purchased them, officials said. The student made about $250.
“This was a troubling incident, and as soon as the school learned about it they reported it to us and reached out to the parents of the student involved,” said Department of Education spokeswoman Margie Feinberg.
“They slipped my son a mickey,” an upset mother told the New York Daily News. “How come nobody noticed these kids were high?”
The students who bought and ate the brownies will face disciplinary action.
