Syrian Forces Fire Scud Missiles At Rebels

Civil war reaches a new level.

Here's a word you might not have heard in a while, Scud missile.

Syrian rebels have reportedly unleashed the unstable, inaccurate missiles at rebel forces.

CBS News reports:

Speaking on condition of anonymity, a U.S. official told Martin the forces of President Bashar Assad fired six missiles in the past two or three days at the depot near Aleppo in northern Syria. The official asked not to be named because they weren't authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

"The idea that the Syrian regime would launch missiles, within its borders, at its own people, is stunning, desperate and a completely disproportionate military escalation," White House press secretary Jay Carney said.
