Tampa, Florida Has The Most Homeless People In America

Tampa has more homeless people than New Orleans.

Tampa, Florida may be happy that Tropical Storm Isaac skipped past them and headed to New Orleans instead. But Hurricane Homeless belongs to them.

Numbers from the Martin Prosperity Institute shows Tampa and New Orleans and numbers one and two when it comes to the highest homeless rates in America. Fresno, Las Vegas, Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Jose, and Seattle round out the top eight.

The cost of housing and warmth of weather were found to be major factors when counting the number of people living on the streets. 

Another fun fact about Tampa. It has more strip clubs per square mile than any other city in the country as well.

No wonder the Republican National Convention is being held there. Perfect climate.
